The South West Interconnected System (SWIS) Transmission Infrastructure Update 2024 identifies potential areas for transmission expansion in the central, southern, and northern sections of the SWIS to meet renewable generation demand for WA’s future. The WA Government has provided a further $324 million investment into the State’s main electricity network to enable industry to expand and unlocking job-creating renewable energy projects. The investment will fund Western Power to continue assessing and developing potential Clean Energy Link transmission projects.
