Overview

Western Power’s Clean Energy Link – North project is a major step towards a cleaner energy future for WA. By strengthening the northern part of the electricity network, we're enabling more renewable energy sources like solar and wind power to be connected helping the State to reach net zero emissions by 2050.

The State Government-funded project involves upgrading transmission lines and building new terminals to boost network capacity from the Wheatbelt and Mid-West.

A key part is the construction of a new 330kV terminal station at Regans Ford, which will connect a nearby transmission line, enhancing power supply to the existing 132kV Regans Substation and significantly improving the flow of renewable energy to and from the area.

What does the project involve?

The new terminal will be constructed on land next to the existing Regans Substation. It will involve upgrading electrical assets to support the new terminal and improving access to the site.

Status
