Want to submit an online application but need a little guidance? With a pre-application enquiry, one of our sales team members will be in touch to help you out.

If you're considering applying for a Western Power product or service, such as a new connection (including stand-alone power systems) or moving Western Power equipment, and have some technical queries or clarifications before you are ready to proceed, you can submit a pre-application enquiry.

What to expect

When you submit a pre-application enquiry, one of our team members will assess it and get back to you. If required, they will set up a quick call or a Teams meeting to help address your questions. This will help direct you to the correct application form.

However, please note that the pre-application enquiry will not result in:

  • A detailed cost estimate or a quote
  • An approval for a proposed non-standard arrangement
  • Endorsement for working near the network
  • Fault level data, network capacity information, or standards compliance

Tip: If you’re looking to check if a proposed development encroaches on clearance zones, try our clearance assessment mapping tool.)

How long will it take?

Once we receive your pre-application enquiry, our sales team will assess it and get back to you within 10 working days.
