We have established a Metering Service Provider Registration Scheme to facilitate the registration of electrical contractors and their electrical workers as Registered Metering Installation Providers in Perth and regional Western Australia. The Scheme provides for registration, accreditation of electrical contractors, authorisation of electrical workers, checking of electrical work and electrical installations, and potentially the de-registration of electrical contractors and electrical workers who do not comply with the Scheme.

Western Power does not accept any liability for any work undertaken by an electrical contractor (or electrical worker) engaged by a consumer or for any loss, damage or injury suffered by any person arising from such work or engagement.

If a consumer has a complaint about the work completed by an electrical contractor (or their workers) in Perth, or regional WA, these should be directed to EnergySafety.
