Planning

Before we commence Planning stage activities, you will need to provide the relevant critical project criteria evidence for us to assess the criticality of your project. The Generator Performance Standards (generator connections) and dynamic model (all connections) for your facility will need to be assessed and validated before we make you an offer to connect.

Please refer to our Facilitating timely connection of critical customer projects guideline for more information on what's required.

Access Offer Preparation

During this activity we will complete the following:

  • Get approval of the internal Western Power business cases relating to the Access Offer
  • Prepare the Access Offer and associated contracts, including, as applicable Interconnection Works Contract (IWC), a Connection Agreement, an Electricity Transfer Access Contract (ETAC), or variation to existing Access Contract (as applicable)
  • Issuance and negotiation (where required) of the Access Offer and associated contract terms and conditions following the issuance of the Access Offer in accordance with the Application and Queuing Policy (AQP)

An executed IWC and ETAC is required for your project to move into the Execution stage.

If required, we will prepare documentation and undertake public consultations associated with a Regulatory Test assessment by the Economic Regulation Authority (ERA) concerning the connection works associated with the customers Connection Application.
