As a Technical Trainer, you will be required to facilitate ongoing skill maintenance and development to the Network ‘Total Workforce’ through the provision of training courses/programs and competency-based assessments to meet Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and the set competency standard.
This role is based at Jandakot Power Training Services.
Your Role in Action
- Delivery and records management of training as required to fulfil the training delivery program and schedule
- Mentoring of trainee’s on-the-job training, workplace learning and experience through formal leaders.
- Participate in ongoing self-development of skills and knowledge relative to the position.
- Make a noticeable and effective contribution towards a safe working environment for the Western Power Network and the Network ‘Total Workforce’.
- Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with customers, clients and key stakeholders whilst ensuring that key deliverables are met.
- Complete and/or contribute towards completion of allotted work plans according to agreed times and deliverables.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment / or willing to attain
- A current Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution Cable Jointing and/or Jointing and/or Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution Overhead & switching (LOU & HOU)
- At least 7+ Relevant extensive industry experience in Power or related industry
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal that enable effective interaction between key stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, plan and work to priorities to meet pre-determined deliverables and outcomes within established timelines.
- Be a highly disciplined, self-starting member of a dynamic team.
- Willingness to work and travel to other depot locations, as required
- Proficiency in use of key computer business systems, and competency in all the major business and office software.
- Valid WA Driver’s License Class ‘C’ or ‘C-A’
