The Organisation
Western Power is a Western Australian State Government owned corporation responsible for building, maintaining and operating an electricity network that connects our 2.3 million customers to traditional and renewable energy sources, delivering an essential service to our community.
The Scope
Western Power is seeking registrations of interest from suitably qualified and experienced companies capable of supplying and delivering cable accessories for underground LV (low Voltage) distribution system.
STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENT
The LV distribution power cable accessories consist of:
• Joints (straight, Breech, Transition, Tee-off)
• Pole Terminations
• Pillar, Pit and Transformer Termination Kits
• End Caps, Live End Seals
• Compression connectors
• Insulating Tubes
• Zipper Sleeves
• Breakout Gloves
• Four Way Link Box
The accessories will be required on two main types of MV underground distribution cables in Western Power distribution network, these being XLPE triplex/single core cables and PILCSWA 3 core cables rated at 0.6/1KV
Western Power is interested in identifying suppliers that can demonstrate capability by providing jointing instructions, BOM, test reports and supplementary information (data sheets, photos, videos etc) for the items listed in Appendix A
Registration Requirements
Suppliers are required to respond to the following for the ROI submission:
• Demonstrate track record and capability in delivering LV Distribution Power Cable Accessories in relation to the high-level Scope requirements stated above.
• Reference from at least three customers who have been offered similar services.
• Safety, Health & Environment information to be requested as part of this exercise.
