Earlier this year, Western Power performed a review of the Electrical Design Consultants engaged in the Land Development industry. The review focused on two criteria from Section 5 of the UDS Manual relating to the use of qualified, registered professional engineers and the required level of Professional Indemnity (PI) insurance.
This review is an annual review and we're pleased to announce, for the second year in a row, that all the Electrical Design Consultants have met the above criteria. It was noted, however, that some consultancies provided a PI Certificate of Currency that is due to expire in late October as well as November and December 2018.
Western Power will continue to conduct this audit which may expand to incorporate further aspects of the UDS Manual. It is also likely that Western Power will initiate this audit via the community of Developers who have specific responsibilities incorporating the above criteria.
Thank you for your respective participation in the 2018 audit. Should you require any further information regarding the audit results, please contact your Customer Relations Consultant.
