Temporary power supply allows builders and trades to work when there is no permanent connection to the site. To set up a temporary supply account contact your retailer and then refer to the options below.

It is often more cost effective to install a permanent supply straight away.  To do this, go to New connections.

To install temporary supply in an area with existing underground power

To install a temporary supply with above standard power requirements

How long will it take?

  • Within 5 business days in the Perth metro and major regional towns
  • Within 7 business days in country and rural areas
  • 3 weeks to provide you with a quote
  • 10 weeks to build once payment is received

Fees and charges

Following the cancellation, expiry, termination or variation of the Customer Work Request or any other aspect of the works or documentation relating to the works, the customer may be liable to pay an administration fee of $550 (inclusive of GST) and any additional costs incurred by Western Power.  Further information can be found in our Terms and Conditions clauses 8 and 16.3.
