Western Power has successfully installed 62 power poles this morning in the fire damaged area at Parkerville.
More than 50 crews working on rebuilding the above and below ground network have been able to optimise the preparation undertaken while they were waiting for clearance from DFES to enter the area.
Acting CEO Stewart Hart said the rate of reconstruction achieved this morning was outstanding.
"More than 200 Western Power workers are focusing on getting the people of Parkerville back on the grid and keeping them informed of progress. The planning and team work has been nothing short of exceptional. We plan to have the network rebuilt and energised by the weekend," he said.
More than 140 poles and 9kms of power lines were damaged or destroyed by the fire.
Just over 450 properties remain without power.
