Perth and South West electricity supply update

Western Power crews have safely restored electricity to 17,000 customers.

Severe storms caused power interruptions for approximately 26,000 customers across Perth and the South West earlier today.

Western Power crews are currently working to safely restore power to a remaining 9,000 customers.

The most impacted Perth suburbs are Swan View, Stoneville and Yangebup.

If you see a fallen powerline, you should treat them as being live, stay clear and immediately call Western Power's 24/7 emergency and faults line on 13 13 51.

Western Power crews are working to safely restore power to 26,000 customers who have been affected this afternoon by the severe storms in the Perth metropolitan area and South West.

The most impacted Perth suburbs are South Perth, Victoria Park, Swan View and Como.

Western Power crews are currently assessing the damage to the network and will reconnect power as quickly as possible.

If you see a fallen powerline, you should treat them as being live, stay clear and immediately call Western Power's 24/7 emergency and faults line on 13 13 51.

If powerlines fall across your car, stay inside the car until help arrives.
