Power restored to 15,000 customers in the metro area

Western Power crews have safely restored electricity to about 15,000 customers in the metro area, after this morning's weather event caused multiple interruptions.

About 3,000 customers are without power, the worst affected suburbs include; Seville Grove, Bullsbrook and Scarborough.

Crews are working safely and quickly to restore power supply.

The changing weather is a timely reminder for people to prepare their homes ahead of storm season by clearing vegetation on their properties, away from powerlines.

If anyone sees a fallen powerline they should treat them as being live, stay clear and immediately call Western Power's 24/7 emergency and faults line on 13 13 51.
