Western Power will be enlightening thousands of show-goers with a dazzling hands-on electrical display at the South West Super Science Spectacular this Saturday.
Western Power Educator Julie Hughes said families would have the opportunity to learn more about electricity by visiting the Western Power stall and participating in powerful experiments.
“Our display will demonstrate the science of electricity and how it is transported along the Western Power network to power the lights and electrical equipment in our homes,” she said.
“Energising young minds about the science behind electricity and showing how it is conducted helps them to understand why they need to use electrical equipment safely at home.”
Ms Hughes said the South West Super Science Spectacular in Dalyellup had grown over the past two years to become the region’s largest interactive science festival.
“Electricity is a science that is part of our everyday lives and by sharing our knowledge we are helping to keep the South West community safe,” she said.
The South West Super Science Spectacular will be held on Saturday 16 August 2014 at the Ocean Forest Lutheran College in Dalyellup.
