How to become a Power Down Ranger

By following, and making sure that other people follow, these tips you will become a Power Down Ranger!!

Switch lights off when they are not being used
Set air conditioner to 24 degrees
Tell your parents to run the pool pump after 9pm
Shut curtains
Use energy efficient bulbs
Reach for the stars! Buy 5 star-rated appliances
Switch off TV’s and computers at the wall!
Install insulation to keep cooling and heating costs down
Install a gas boosted solar hotwater system, they are cool and produce fewer greenhouse gases
Power down 4-9pm

Training course

Before you can become a Power Down Ranger you will need to complete a short training course. We wouldn't want you to go out into the world without any training.

First assignment

Now that you have completed your training course you are ready for your first assignment.

Step one: Download the 'Star rating monitor sheet' (PDF 1mb)
Step two: Work with your parents to find out how awesome your home is
Step three: Work out ways that you can improve your home's awesomeness
Step four: Take a well earned break, but stay alert. You never know when earth will need your help!
