Pinjar to Eneabba transmission line

A new 330 kV transmission line is proposed in order to meet the electricity demands of households, commerce and industry in the growing Mid West region.

The benefits of this project include:

  • improving the quality and reliability of electricity supplies
  • enabling new generation, including wind farms, to connect into the network

For the Pinjar to Eneabba rebuild it is proposed that existing wood pole line between Pinjar power station and Eneabba substation be removed and replaced with a 330 kV transmission line supported by steel lattice towers.

Midwest project review

At present, Western Power and the State Government's expenditure and Economic Reform Committee are undertaking a detailed review if the program.
