Update on power supplies - Nannup
Release Date: 16 January 2009
- 6.40pm -
Power supplies have been restored to the majority of customers affected by the fire near Nannup. Of the 1000 originally affected, currently 150 customers remain without power.
Western Power expects the fire to cause further damage to equipment and power poles this evening and may cause further power interruptions until contained.
Western Power will look to send temporary generators to the area to supply power to as many of the remaining customers as possible, however it expects to take a number of days to repair the damage and replace the downed power poles.
